General Rules and Regulations

In order to ensure the public nature of our facilities and the safety and comfort of our guests, we ask that you observe the following rules of use.
Guests who do not abide by these rules of use will not be allowed to continue their stay or use of the facility. The facility will not be held responsible for any accidents that occur as a result of a guest's failure to cooperate.

Rules of Use

For safety and security reasons, please observe the following rules.
Please confirm the evacuation route map and emergency contact information.
Please make sure to lock the door when you go out, stay in the room, and go to bed.
Please be sure to turn off the hot water supply after using the bathrooms, kitchen, and washrooms.

The following acts are strictly prohibited in this facility.
Smoking in areas other than the designated areas on the premises (including IQOS and other heated cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, etc.)
Moving, altering, processing, taking out, or using for purposes other than the original use of the facilities and equipment in this facility.
Entering and exiting the premises by persons other than the guest himself/herself.

Bringing in the following items
Animals, birds, etc. (excluding guide dogs and other service animals)
Items that emit a foul odor
Garbage and items that interfere with the sanitation of the facility
Items that exceed the reasonable amount or are heavy
Firearms and swords
Gunpowder, volatile oil, or other flammable or combustible materials
Stimulants, narcotics, and other drugs whose possession is prohibited by law
Cooking and heating utensils
Other items that are deemed a threat to the safety of guests
Any loud, boisterous or noisy behavior that may cause displeasure or annoyance to neighboring residents, such as shouting, singing, shouting, or any behavior offensive to public order and morals.
Loud conversations, especially after 10:00 p.m.
Distribution of advertising materials, sales of goods, donations, signatures, etc.
Taking home equipment other than amenities
Burning incense, etc.
Using feet with dirt in the room
Use of bath salts in the bathtub
Bathing while intoxicated
Dyeing hair
Commercial activities
Use of photographs or videos taken in the facility or on the premises for business purposes without permission
Any other activity that interferes with the safety and hygiene of our facility.

Handling of Guests' Own Property
The facility is not responsible for any damage caused by loss or damage during your stay.

Damage, defacement, or loss of equipment and fixtures in the facility
In the event of damage, defacement, or loss of equipment or fixtures in the facility, you will be responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing the equipment or fixtures, as well as for the room charge that will be suspended during that time.

Article 1 (Scope of Application of these General Terms and Conditions)
Accommodation contracts and related agreements entered into by this facility with guests shall be in accordance with the provisions of these clauses, and any matters not provided for in these clauses shall be in accordance with laws and ordinances or customary practices.
In the event that this facility agrees to a special agreement to the extent that it does not violate laws, regulations, or customs, such special agreement shall prevail, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

Article 2 (Application for accommodation contract)
The accommodation contract and related agreements that this facility concludes with the guest shall be in accordance with the provisions of these general terms and conditions, and any matters not provided for in these general terms and conditions shall be in accordance with laws and regulations or customary practices.
・Name of the person staying at the accommodation
・Date of stay and approximate time of arrival
・For overseas guests, the information in the passport
・Other items deemed necessary by the facility

In the event that the guest requests an extension of the stay beyond the date of stay stipulated in item 2 of the preceding paragraph, this facility shall deem that a new application for a contract of accommodation has been made at the time such an application is made.

Article 3 (Formation of Accommodation Contract, etc.)
An accommodation contract shall be formed when this facility accepts the application described in the preceding article.
When an accommodation contract is formed pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, an application fee equivalent to the basic accommodation charge (room charge) for the period of stay shall be paid by credit card by the date designated by this facility (in principle, at the same time as the accommodation contract is formed).
The application fee shall first be appropriated to the accommodation charge ultimately payable by the guest, and in the event that the provisions of Articles 9 and 17 apply, it shall be appropriated in the order of penalty followed by compensation, and any remaining amount shall be returned at the time of payment of the charge pursuant to the provisions of Article 6.
The maximum number of consecutive days that a guest may stay at this facility is 30 days.

Article 4 (Refusal to Conclude an Accommodation Contract)
This facility may refuse to enter into an accommodation contract in the following cases
When an application for accommodation is not in accordance with these clauses.
When there is no room available due to full occupancy.
(2) When it is recognized that the person seeking accommodation is likely to commit an act offensive to public order and morals.
When it is recognized that the person who intends to stay at the hotel falls under any of the following 1 to 3.
(1) When it is recognized that the person who intends to stay in the room falls under any of the following 1 to 3. (hereinafter referred to as “Bouryokudan”), Bouryokudan members (hereinafter referred to as “Bouryokudanin”) prescribed in Article 2, Item 6 of the same law. (ii) Boryokudan quasi-organized crime syndicates or Boryokudan-related persons, and other antisocial forces and their members.
Boryokudan or Boryokudan-involved persons and other organizations whose business activities are controlled by Boryokudan or Boryokudan-involved persons

A juridical person, any of whose officers or members of its business activities fall under the category of Bouryokudan-in (Boryokudan Member)

When a person seeking accommodation is an intoxicated person whose speech or behavior is dangerous.
When a person who intends to stay at the accommodation has behaved or said something that causes inconvenience to other guests.
When it is clearly recognized that the person seeking accommodation is a person with a contagious disease.
When an antisocial or violent act of demand is committed, or when a burden exceeding a reasonable range is demanded in relation to the accommodation.
When we are unable to accommodate guests due to natural disasters, breakdown of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
When the guest is a person who has been refused or cancelled a contract by this facility in the past.

When there are other justifiable reasons (as stipulated in Article 9 of the Nagano Prefecture Ryokan Law Construction Regulations) for refusing to enter into an accommodation contract.

Article 5 (Accommodation Registration)
The guest shall register the following items at this facility on the day of accommodation
Guest's name, age, address, and telephone number
Nationality and passport number if the guest is a foreigner
Place of landing in Japan and date of landing
Departure date and estimated time of departure
Other items deemed necessary by the facility

Article 6 (Payment of Accommodation Charges, etc.)
The accommodation charge, etc., payable by the guest shall be the total of the room charge and consumption tax.
Accommodation charges, etc. as stipulated in the preceding paragraph shall be in accordance with the rates displayed on the website.
Payment of the accommodation charges, etc. in the preceding paragraph shall be made in Japanese yen or by credit card on the date designated by this facility (in principle, at the same time as the establishment of the accommodation contract) or when requested by this facility.
The accommodation charge shall be charged even if the guest voluntarily does not stay in the room after this facility has provided the room to the guest and made it available for his/her use.

Article 7 (Special Agreement on Payment of Application Fee)
Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 2, the facility may accept a special agreement that does not require payment of the deposit stipulated in the same paragraph after the contract is concluded.

 

Article 8 (Guest's Right to Cancel Contract)
The guest may cancel the accommodation contract by notifying this facility.
In the event that the accommodation contract is cancelled in whole or in part for reasons attributable to the guest (except in the event that this facility specifies the due date for payment of the application deposit and requires payment thereof pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 2, and the guest cancels the accommodation contract prior to such payment), this facility shall charge a penalty fee in accordance with the provisions listed in the attached table, A penalty fee will be charged as shown in the attached table. However, in the event that this facility accepts the special contract stipulated in Article 7, this will only apply when this facility has notified the guest of the obligation to pay the penalty when the guest cancels the accommodation contract in accepting the special contract.

In the event that the guest does not arrive at the accommodation facility by 10:00 p.m. on the day of the stay (or one hour after the scheduled time of arrival, if such time has been clearly indicated) without giving notice, the accommodation contract shall be deemed to have been cancelled by the guest for his/her own reason.
 

Article 9 (Right of this facility to cancel the contract)
This facility may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases
When it is recognized that the guest is likely to commit an act contrary to the provisions of the law or public order and morals in connection with the accommodation, or when it is recognized that the guest has committed such an act.
When it is recognized that the person who intends to stay at the hotel falls under any of the following items (a) through (c).
Boryokudan (organized crime groups), Boryokudan members, quasi-constituents of Boryokudan, or persons related to Boryokudan, or other antisocial forces
A corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by a Boryokudan or Boryokudan-involved person
A juridical person, any of whose officers or members of its business activities fall under the category of Bouryokudan-in (organized crime group) member
When a guest is deemed to be likely to cause significant inconvenience to the neighborhood through drunkenness, singing, clamor, musical performances, etc., or when he/she has made the same behavior.
When it is clearly recognized that the guest is a person with a contagious disease.
When an antisocial or violent demanding act is committed or when a burden exceeding a reasonable range is demanded in relation to the accommodation.
When the guest is unable to stay due to natural disasters, breakdown of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
When there is tampering with firefighting equipment or facilities, or other acts that interfere with the safety and hygiene management of the facility.
When there is any other violation of the General Rules and Regulations, the Rules of Use, or any of the articles of these Terms and Conditions.
When this facility cancels the accommodation contract based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, it will not charge the guest for accommodation services that have not yet been provided. Even if the cancellation is made in accordance with the preceding paragraph, the guest concerned shall be obligated to compensate the facility for any damages incurred by the facility as a result of the actions stipulated in the preceding paragraph.

 

Article 10 (Hours of use of guest rooms)
Guests may use their rooms from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. the following morning. However, in the case of a consecutive stay, the guest may use the room for the entire day, except for the day of arrival and the day of departure.

Article 11 (Compliance with Rules of Use)
Guests shall comply with the rules of use established by the facility when in the facility.

Article 12 (Responsibility of the facility)
In the event that the facility causes damage to a guest in the performance of the accommodation contract and related agreements, or in the event of non-fulfillment of such agreements, the facility shall compensate for such damage up to the amount of the accommodation charge. However, this shall not apply when the damage is not caused by reasons attributable to this facility.
The liability of this facility for accommodation begins when the guest enters the facility and ends when the guest leaves the facility for departure.
This facility has Ryokan liability insurance to deal with possible fires, etc., but in the event that an exemption from liability under the insurance contract applies, the damage incurred by the guest may not be covered.

Article 13 (When a contracted room cannot be provided)
If this facility is unable to provide the guest with the contracted room, it shall, with the consent of the guest, mediate other accommodations under the same conditions as far as possible.
If, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, this facility is unable to arrange another accommodation facility, it will pay the guest a compensation fee equivalent to the amount of the penalty, and the compensation fee will be applied to the amount of compensation for damages. However, if there is no reason attributable to this facility for not being able to provide a guest room, no compensation shall be paid.

Article 14 (Handling of Deposited Articles, etc.)
When a guest deposits articles, etc., the guest must declare whether or not the deposited articles include cash or valuables, and if the deposited articles include cash or valuables, this facility will determine whether or not to accept the deposit. In the event that a guest does not possess a certificate of custody in the event of loss, etc., as stipulated in the provisions of Clause 2 and below, it shall be deemed that the guest has not declared the presence of valuables in the deposited articles. 

 

In the event of loss, damage, etc. to articles, cash, or valuables deposited by a guest, this facility will compensate for such damage if it is caused by the intentional or negligent act of an employee of this facility. However, with regard to cash and valuables, in the event that this facility requires the guest to disclose the type and value of such items and the guest fails to do so, this facility will compensate for the damages up to 30,000 yen.

In the event of loss, damage, etc. to articles, cash, or valuables brought into the facility that were not deposited by the guest and for which the type and value were not disclosed in advance, if the loss, damage, etc. is caused by the intentional or gross negligence of the facility staff, the facility will compensate for the damage up to 10,000 yen after making a report to the relevant authorities. Article 15 (Baggage and Personal Effects)

Article 15 (Custody of Baggage or Personal Effects)
In the event that a guest's baggage arrives prior to his/her stay, the facility will take responsibility for keeping it only if the facility agrees to do so prior to the arrival of the baggage, and will hand it over to the guest upon check-in. However, valuables and perishables cannot be accepted.

In the event that a guest's baggage or personal belongings are left behind in this facility after the guest has checked out, if the owner of the baggage or personal belongings contacts us, we will ask for instructions on how to handle them. However, if the owner does not contact the hotel, the hotel will keep the baggage or personal belongings for 30 days including the day of discovery (for raw items, for the same day only), and then dispose of them by appropriate means.

Article 16 (Parking)
When a guest uses the parking lot of this facility, regardless of whether or not the key to the vehicle is deposited, this facility rents the parking space and is not responsible for the management of the vehicle.

 

Article 17 (Guest's Responsibility)
In the event that this facility suffers damages due to the intentional or negligent act of a guest, the guest shall compensate the facility for such damages.
If smoking is confirmed in a non-smoking guest room, the guest shall be compensated 100,000 yen (tax included) per room for the cost of special cleaning.
In the event that the bathrooms need to be cleaned with water changed due to rough sleeping, the guest will be required to compensate 50,000 yen (including tax) for the cost of the water change and cleaning.

Appendix 1 <Calculation Method of Accommodation Charges
Refer to the Japanese version.
Note: Basic room charge is based on the rates listed online. The children's rate is for elementary school students (7-12 years old) and is 5,000 yen for the no meal plan, 10,000 yen for the plan with breakfast, and 15,000 yen for the full-course plan. However, preschool children (0-6 years old) shall be admitted free of charge, and children 13 years old and older shall be charged at 100% of the adult rate.

Article 18 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
Any and all disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of Japan in the district court or summary court with jurisdiction over the location of the facility.

Article 19 (Disclaimer)
Any and all disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved in accordance with the laws and regulations of Japan in the district court or summary court with jurisdiction over the location of the facility.
The facility shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by the user as a result of service interruption due to system failure or other reasons during the use of Internet communications.
The facility shall not be liable for any damage to third parties caused by inappropriate use of Internet communications by customers.
The facility reserves the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions at any time due to changes in social conditions or other circumstances.
